Steven Universe Theory

Your first Steven Universe theory blog! Now with admin Amethyst, Peridot, Rose, and Pearl. Please don't forget to put your theories in the submission instead of the ask!

JASPER IS A FUSION.

we-are-like-young-sharknados:

I’m convinced.

I won’t claim to have thought up any of these theories, but I want to put them in one place.

1. The Pupils Theory, best explained here , this states that fusion gems are always drawn with visible pupils ((see Garnet, Opal, Sugilite, Malachite))

…while other gems are drawn without. ((see Pearl, Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Ruby, Sapphire, Peridot, Lapis))

However, the only gem who is supposedly not a fusion to have pupils…is Jasper.

2. Fairly simple, fusions of two gems ((see Opal, Garnet)) tend to be taller than regular unfused gems, but shorter than fusions of three gems.

image

Notice how Garnet is taller than most all humans, but not giant like Sugilite?

image

this would explain why Jasper is taller than all the others, around the same height as Garnet, a known fusion.

image

Heck, she’s taller. Than a fusion.

((Keep in mind, Sapphire and Ruby are teensy. Maybe Jasper’s Tiny space lesbians are larger?))

3. Fusions of three gems are usually HUGE. Sugilite was much larger than Opal because while opal was made of Pearl and Amethyst, Sugilite was made of Sapphire and Ruby, and Amethyst. So maybe, Malachite was giant because she was a fusion of Lapis and Jasper’s two fused selves? If she was only a fusion of Lapis and Jasper, why wouldn’t she be around the same size as Opal?

4. And yeah, this one doesn’t really serve to prove that Jasper was a fusion, but Alexandrite was the biggest fusion of all, because she was made of four gems: Pearl, Amethyst, and Ruby/Sapphire in Garnet. This means that when fusions fuse, their fused form is bigger than a regular gem. It counts are more gems.  ((Sugilite was a fusion of Three, and according to this theory, so was Malachite. Lapis, and Jasper’s two selves.))

EDIT: As flutebrute mentioned, the mineral Jasper is actually an aggregate “of microquartz and/or chalcedony and other mineral phases” according to Wikipedia. *FUSION ALARM*

Sorry if this was a bit repetitive in some spots, and if you have any more theories or know the author of the other two theories, please send them my way!

Objection! Rose is not a fusion and is still as big as Garnet.
